Paint The Void / Public art as a path to civic rejuvenation.

A non-profit arts collective born out of the coronavirus pandemic. Paint The Void matches local artists with local businesses, organizes public donation, then commissions uplifting murals, turning boarded-up storefronts into primed canvases for public art. The process keeps artists at work, beautifies the neighborhoods all across San Francisco, and gives small-business owners a new lease of hope, drawing the local community into the conversation at every opportunity. Paint The Void has now completed 130+ murals, commissioning 150+ artists and painted upwards of 250,000 sq ft. Artists received massive acclaim from public and private sectors, and touched the lives of thousands of Bay Area residents. All this, and the entire project has been organized and executed remotely, by four female founders. Paint The Void continues it’s important work long after San Francisco’s shelter-in-place mandate, and welcomes direct support from values driven benefactors.
