CARDBOARD TUBE SAMURAI
The Cardboard Tube Samurai, very loosely based on characters in the "Penny Arcade" online comic, has become a Marcon Masquerade tradition.   The skits have ranged from
grand epic fantasy to parodies to satiric looks at fandom itself.   Once mainly a Maximillian skit, it has since become a production of the Max's sister ship, the Julius the 2nd, to allow
the Maximillian to release another skit.  All the skits have been written and directed by Chris Stephenson, with ideas from Gregory Dunn and Steve Pompa, and narration by Charles Connor.

The Samurai skits, while self-indulgent and not really focused around costumes, represent creativity and a drive to entertain.   The main focus is on presentation.  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but every year I'm asked to put together another one, and in every sketch the Samurai's name is met with cheers.  So here we go again!  - Chris
